A Portal to High-Resolution Topography Data and Tools

It is 2012 American Geophysical Union (AGU) session announcement season. This is a session convened by several OpenTopography collaborators that will be of great interest to the OpenTopography community:
We invite you to join us at the 2012 AGU Fall Meeting for a session titled “4-D Lidar: changes to Earth’s surface measured from differencing repeat dense topographic datasets.”
The recent explosion in sub-meter resolution topography mapped in particular by airborne and terrestrial Lidar raises the possibility of mapping changes to Earth’s surface in unprecedented detail, with the potential for imaging a diverse range of processes including tectonic deformation, landsliding, fluvial and coastal erosion and deposition, dune migration and glacial flow. We invite presentations that describe new approaches for differencing repeat dense topographic datasets and which showcase the results of these studies.
Abstracts can be submitted via the website http://agu-fm12.abstractcentral.com/ with the deadline on 8th August 2012.
