April 08 2014 : SRTM Version 3.0 Global (90m) and United States (30m) Elevation Data Now Available

    The Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) obtained 90 meter (3 arc-second) resolution data on a near-global scale (between 56 degrees South and 60 degrees North latitude) and 30 meter (1 arc-second) resolution over United States, providing a valuable global topographic dataset.

January 27 2014 : Point Cloud Data from Hawaii now Available

    OpenTopography recently released five new point cloud datasets collected over parts of the Big Island and Kauai in Hawaii. These datasets were collected in 2013 by the National Center for Airborne Laser Mapping (NCALM).

August 13 2013 : 90m SRTM Elevation Data and NCALM Google Earth Files now Available

    OpenTopography recently released our first near-global topography dataset as well as 20 new lidar imagery Google Earth files. The Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) dataset is a near-global 90 meter resolution raster dataset. New Google Earth lidar imagery files are for lidar datasets collected by the National Center for Airborne Laser Mapping (NCALM) between 2003 and 2007.
