Connect with OpenTopography at the 2025 Geological Society of America meeting in San Antonio, TX, October 19-22!

OpenTopography will be in booth #809 in the exhibit hall. Our booth is staffed by the OpenTopography team and is a great chance to ask questions, provide feedback, or to discuss lidar, high resolution topography, and cyberinfrastructure.

Exhibit hall hours are: Sunday, 19 Oct.: 4:30 – 7 p.m., Monday, 20 Oct.: 10 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, 21 Oct.: 10 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., and Wednesday, 22 Oct.: 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

We'll also be giving away the always popular I heart lidar stickers. Please stop by and say hi!

OpenTopography Awarded 2025 GSA President's Medal:

OpenTopography is honored to be the recipient of the 2025 GSA President’s Medal. The award will be conferred during the Presidential Address & Awards Ceremony, Sunday, 19 October, noon–1:30 p.m. in the Stars at Night Ballroom 2 & 3.

As a result of the award, OpenTopography will present a President's Medal lecture: Advancing Geoscience Research and Education with Open Topographic Data and Tools, Monday, 20 Oct at 8:00 AM in room: HBGCC, 217D in session T213. Advancing Earthquake Geology and Surficial Deformation from Geologic Provinces to Political Entities through Multidisciplinary High-Resolution Data.
